INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LITIGATION
Advocating Our Client’s Interests
We believe the best business strategy is to avoid litigation. But sometimes it’s necessary and we do not compromise. We are experienced intellectual property litigators both in local and Federal courts. Our primary focus is on business law, especially with regards to intellectual property.
Recent litigation involved a local consumer product manufacturer that needed to enforce his patent rights against an out of state infringer. Our initial research indicted a way to protect our client. Several months of litigation in Federal courts ensued before a favorable settlement was reached. Our client is now better positioned in the market and has stronger patent rights.
Our client, a small software startup, had a falling out with one of the co-founders of the company. The disgruntled co-founder sued the remaining partners and investors alleging fraud and claiming ownership of all of the company’s software. We managed to successfully remove some of the defendants and eventually to get the entire case against our client dropped. Through this process we counseled the client on producing effective employment agreements and intellectual property assignment contracts.
