Pete Tormey

Mr. Tormey has over 20 years of experience in product development, marketing and intellectual property protection. As a company startup veteran, he brings a unique perspective on the value of intellectual property to a small and growing business. As such, he has also delivered lectures to entrepreneurs and business executives on how to protect and leverage IP assets.

Mr. Tormey is the author of the Startup Guide to Intellectual Property.

As a patent attorney, Mr. Tormey has drafted over 100 patent applications covering software, electronics, wireless, radio, mobile applications, encryption and automation controls. His legal experience includes corporate formation, dissolutions, and international transactions.

Mr. Tormey has over 25 years experience as a design engineer and successful entrepreneur. He has an MBA in Marketing from St. Mary’s College in California, a BS Electronic Engineering from San Francisco State University (Magna Cum Laude) and a JD from J. F. Kennedy Law School.

Sarah Haas

Of Counsel Attorney

Sarah Haas is a California native, born and raised. Sarah graduated from California State Monterey Bay with a degree in social sciences. Sarah went on to Monterey College of Law and graduated with her Juris Doctorate from John F. Kennedy College of Law. Sarah has practiced primarily in the area of family law, spanning all matters. These include simple dissolutions, child custody and support matters, spousal support, division of assets, and domestic violence restraining orders.

Sarah now also practices business law with the firm A, T, & P Legal PC. In any matter, Sarah's goal is to achieve resolution in a way that resolves the outstanding issues for all parties involved. Sarah understands that involvement in litigation, regardless of the area, can be a very stressful time. Helping clients navigate through these matters in a compassionate, considerate, and professional manner is paramount. Sarah is actively involved with the Contra Costa Bar Association.

Wanjiku Kazi Muhire

Law Clerk

Wanjiku Kazi Muhire is a law clerk for A, T, & P Legal PC. Although originally from California, she attended law school on the East Coast at the University of the District of Columbia, School of Law, where she won a scholarship award for her work in entertainment law.

Wanjiku has successfully passed the February 2024 California State Bar exam and is poised to be sworn in as a licensed attorney. Her professional journey includes a notable tenure with J. Walker and Associates, where she played a crucial role in winning a high-profile copyright infringement case against the artist H.E.R. in 2021. Her knowledge in business, intellectual property, and entertainment law is rapidly growing, underscoring her commitment to becoming a credible voice in these fields.

While in law school, Wanjiku also co-founded an entertainment label and is Vice President at All In-House Entertainment. In this role, she has demonstrated her ability to secure performances across Northern California and beyond for her artists, build a business model to support emerging artists, and protect their brands, further establishing her as a key player in the music industry.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Wanjiku is passionate about music, especially enjoying live performances, and is an avid golfer. She values spending quality time with her fiancé and family, cherishing the memories they create together.

Looking ahead, Wanjiku aspires to become a reputable and influential entertainment, intellectual property, and business lawyer, continuing to contribute to her community with dedication and expertise.

Mike received his Juris Doctorate from John F. Kennedy University and his BFA from NYU. Having been there himself, Mike is particularly keen on helping start-ups grow, properly protecting intellectual property, and in helping students and visionaries realize their dreams.
